The Telluride is the first ever all-American SUV from Kia and their largest model to date. This bold, comfortable and capable SUV embodies the go-anywhere and do anything attitude that many buyers are looking for in their next 3-row crossover. It marks Kia's third vehicle that will be manufactured at the automakers West Point, Georgia assembly plant.
It is brimming with the latest in technology, including advanced connectivity, safety features, and driver assistance systems. The attention to detail in its upscale cabin is one of the best we have seen from the Korean automaker.
It will ride on the same platform as the Hyundai Palisade and will come standard with the same Atkinson 3.8l V6. This engine will be good for 291hp and 262lb-ft of torque that's paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission.
Those who are curious about when the Telluride will go on sale, won't have to wait long. It is set to arrive this spring and we should be getting an exact confirmation of its delivery date in the next few weeks. If we were to guess, it could be arriving in Kia showrooms as early as May.
Kia designed and built the Telluride in the United States, specifically for our SUV-crazed market. Its deliberately boxy exterior looks properly American. With seating for 8, plenty of storage and a solid towing capacity it's a vehicle worth keeping on your wish list.
It will be offered in four different trim levels including LS, S, EX, and SX. Pricing on the LX starts from $31,690 and climbs to $41,490 on the top end model.
As it has already begun to roll off the assembly line, the Telluride is ready to make a name for itself and prove that good things do come in big packages.
