Hi, can i ask where this commonly known issues list comes from?
Do they affect all or nearly all vehicles delivered to date?
Are these things confined to a particular trim level?
1) Its what I gathered from 30+ in-person and online owner interactions
2) About 1/3 of owners I spoke to make up the list. The rest couldn't stop raving about it lol
3) EX and SX models had the most issues

I forgot to get build dates.
As everyone reports issues here, it would be best if we include it along with every other detail to nail down on the most desirable Telluride to own, and what to avoid like the plague.

I'm on Day 5 with this car. So far, I love it. One minor setback is the driver seat is squeaky/creeking if the road is just slightly bumpy. I've seen a ton of complaints on this from older versions of Kia's. Disappointed it's still happening.

Strange. Do those other complaints have any suggestions on a fix? That's the type of thing that could drive you crazy.

OK thanks. I'm not sure a private list can rightfully be classified as "commonly known" but I certainly appreciate your posting this info for the aid of the rest of us. Is there another forum besides this one that has more activity? When I looked for online Telluride discussions about the time I joined, this one looked like the most promising, and even with its low activity, still had more posts on the Telluride than in the generic Kia forums.

From a Telluride SX review that motortrend did:
  • Understeer - "It's dominated by understeer and lots of body motions"
  • Stability Control - "The biggest issue he had with the Telluride, though, was the unpredictable stability control. "Turn it off, and it's sometimes off (surprisingly off) but other times reawakens with draconian intrusion. I did a few laps with it off, then all of a sudden, it was on again while turning to the right."

reports on kia telluride windshield issues (now a recall) are finally coming out like this one from Car and Driver:

______

Kia Telluride, Subaru Forester Owners Complaining to NHTSA about Windshields
NHTSA has received many complaints of broken or cracked windshields on the two vehicles, along with beefs that it takes too long to get replacements.

  • he 2020 Kia Telluride crossover has been the subject of more than 20 complaints to the government agency NHTSA that its windshield cracks very easily. Likewise, dozens of people are complaining about the windshield on the 2018 and 2019 Subaru Forester.
  • The complaints are also common in online forums, including photos of damaged windshields.
  • C/D has reached out to the automakers for comment on the issue. We have put more than 3000 miles on our long-term test Telluride without incident.
UPDATE 10/10/19, 5:00 p.m.: A Kia spokesperson issued the following statement in response to C/D's request: "Kia Motors America places a priority on safety and takes reported customer concerns seriously. Warranty claims involving damage to any Kia vehicle glass are reviewed on a case-by-case basis as varying influences, such as damage from road debris and other factors beyond Kia's control, may lead to breakage of the windshield glass." The spokesperson said Kia customers can contact the automaker's Consumer Assistance Center at 800-333-4542. We will pass along comments from Subaru as well when we receive them.
Kia's all-new 2020 Telluride has only been on sale for a few months, and it is already popular with consumers, so it might be remarkable that nearly two dozen owners have filed complaints with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) about the new crossover's windshield. The complaints, detailed on NHTSA's websiteunder the heading "Visibility/Wiper," describe windshields that seem to crack easily, and those cracks are said to have worsened so quickly and severely that they require the windshield to be replaced.
Complaints of similar kinds are found on the Subaru Forester's NHTSA page, where complaints include one from April 5, 2018, that reads: "I'm constantly getting chips . . . I've never had such a brittle windshield before," and another from July 6, 2019, that says, "Second crack in windshield in five months" and describes the road surfaces where the cracks happened as "normal" and "paved."
On Twitter, "DCCarGeek" posted screen shots from NHTSA's site:
Based on these consumer complaints Kia is losing windshields left-and-right on the new 2020 Telluride.
Hmmm. Looks like the new 2019 Forester is also suffering from a bevy of failed windshields.
Wonder if Kia and Subaru share a supplier on these new models

The first complaint about the Telluride posted at NHTSA is dated July 11, 2019, and it states that when the owner had only had the vehicle eight days, a small rock kicked up from a passing car at 35 mph cracked the windshield. The complainant claims to have heard of "100s of other customers" having the same issue, although, obviously, such claims are difficult to validate.
Another complaint, posted on October 2, 2019, states that three days after purchasing a Telluride, the bottom center of the customer's windshield developed a crack although there weren't any obvious signs of a stone chip. The customer stated that it took eight weeks for Kia to ship a new windshield.
C/D has had a 2020 Kia Telluride in our long-term fleet, and we have put almost 3000 miles on its odometer. To date, we have not had any issues involving its windshield.
We reached out to Kia and Subaru for comment; Kia's response is above, and we will update the story when we receive a response from Subaru.

Here's a list of commonly known issues/problems with the Telluride so far
  • active safety features stop working
  • excessive road noise
  • engine fails to start sometimes
  • poor seat cover fitment
  • long wait for replacement parts
  • AC doesn't work
  • infotainment stops working
  • seat controls stick
I have excessive noise as well. I got my car last Wednesday October 16th. It is not quite at all. It also has a slow Acceleration pick up; but once it picks up it flys. Also I am having problems with the heat. It is not heating up. Today Sunday Oct 20th. I went to the gym and the heat wasn't coming on, so I put on the seat heater and the seat barely got warm. I had on thin work out tights and nothing. Anyone else with these issues?

I am also having problems with the heat not heating up. Did you get your problem resolved? If so what did they do. I also have an issue with it cooling. Its been in twice and of course "cant duplicate it". I have noticed if you put the car in neutral or park and rev the engine the temp will go up but will go right back to just luke warm when you stop revving it.

Have had my Kia for 1 year.
1) Front windows sometimes randomly intermittently won't go all the way up when driving at interstate speeds, once car slows they will stay up. They will go all the way up and then come back down about 2 inches (only front windows).
2) A/C just last month intermittently after car is running for a while (such as a road trip) stops blowing, you can hear fan but nothing blowing out of front vents, but yet back a/c working fine. Makes a really crappy road trip!!! And of course dealership can't find it.
3) High beams just stopped working, both at same time. Dealership ordered new headlamps for replacement, but doesn't that sound electrical when they both quit working and the a/c is acting up all around the same time.
