Hyundai, Kia reach $760 million settlement over engine fire lawsuit
Hyundai and Kia have reached a $760 million settlement in their engine fire lawsuit regarding the 2.0 and 2.4 liter Theta II engines.
In total, 2.3 million Hyundai and 1.8 million Kia vehicles feature the two engines.
The vehicles involved in the settlement include:
- 2011-2019 Hyundai Sonata
- 2013-2018 Santa Fe Sport
- 2019 Santa Fe
- 2014-2015 and 2018-2019 Tucson.
- 2011-2019 Kia Sportage, Sorento and Optima model.
