Last weekend I visited Nashua KIA and talked with a salesman. He told me that it's KIA's marketing strategy to keep production low and demand high. He said that they are the 2nd largest KIA dealership in the Country and only receive a couple of Telurides a month if that. They had only one on their lot of several KIA vehicles of every make and color.
I found that very interesting.

Supply and demand.

They have a similar vehicle with the Sorrento that sells very well ( I have owned 3) so not ramping up production serves two purposes. Hard to get keeps prices high, and inventory control right now is imperative. Odds are very strongly in favor of a global recession. All companies are reassessing their inventory levels.
