Snow modes issues

We got to use the snow mode yesterday on our 2023 telluride yesterday and today… both days we had an issue. When we went after being at a stop light the gas pedal would not engage. It was like we lost all power but once we switch to a different mode it worked fine. All 3 times it happened was when we started out from a stop, going up a slight incline, and turning left.
Anyone else?

Hello,

Did you ever figure this out? We are having the same exact issue and now waiting on a response from Kia on what to do.

Also found this on a Palisade forum. Looks like. Common issue, but no one has posted any solutions.

Holy crap its like you literally wrote this for me. That's insane. I have a 2023 SX and the exact same conditions you just described and gas pedal was unresponsive. Didn't respond until I turned to eco mode. I didn't feel the car slip or lose traction at all and with 15 years of Minnesota winter driving, I'm pretty sure I have a good feel for when my car loses traction. I emailed the dealer and he basically told me it was a FEATURE wow.. I haven't pressed them on it yet, but this seriously smells like lawsuit or recall. At best the snow mode traction calibration is way off, at worst who knows. Imagine turning left against oncoming traffic and your gas pedal goes out.. please keep me updated any progress on your vehicle and I'll do the same.
i have the exact same problem. it has only happened to me in "snow mode", from a stop, going on wide left turns (turning left on double lane highways, both directions. i get up to about 20-25 MPH and loose all acceleration of the gas pedal. rpms do not move. 2 times i heard a clunking noise and the car jerked. switch out of snow mode and then the car takes off. mine stated on my new 2023 kia telluride sx prestige for the 1st time at 100 miles after new. since then it has happened an additional 8 times.

i have set up a 3 way dash cam. 1 showing the instrument cluster, console selector and one forward. i brought mine in for the first time last month. the dealer could not duplicate it. i told them i have dash cam video of it happening and they did not care to see it. the said "i believe you". everything checked out for them. gave some paperwork stating snow mode distributed power differently, stating everything is operating as it should. well, your not suppose to lose all acceleration power through a turn , causing an accident or possible death from an accident. they sent me on my way. guess what, it happened again. my 3rd appoitment is scheduled in 2 weeks.

i have a friend who works for a hyndai dealer and their dealership is aware of it, happening intermittent with some of their pallisade costumers but they tell them its fine as they dont have a fix.

buyers, make sure you report this issue to the NHTSA to force kia/hyndai to recall and fix the issue.
